“Leaves of Trees” includes some paid content. The paywall will come down in a few weeks.

Leaves of trees make soil
Leaves of books and fertile minds
Make thoughts arrive

Venus and crescent moon
Wink at stately Jupiter
The dawn is breaking

In names they remain
Indigenous footprints where
We build our cities

Nature's abundance
Outshines economic despair
Want is a construct

Flame azalea blooms
Butterfly gathers nectar
Flies off to lay eggs

Spider spins her web
Waits to catch the unwary
Gathers protein meals

Read the landscape
Like a book she unfolds
Reveals her wisdom

Pharo built pyramids
Harnessed workers like mule teams
Made living machines
