Sunrise from my deck.
Revised
This issue includes a recording of me reading “The Wendigo’s Way” and other poems. It ends with a downloadable broadside. My broadsides are poems on posters, including a photograph or drawing and a poem. The poem “The Wendigo’s Way,” appeared in my book Healing and Conflict, available locally in Chattanooga.
I hope you enjoyed the poetry, prose, and photographs in “The Spirit Birds,” included in the previous edition. When the potential publisher decided to pause business indefinitely, I thought it best to get the work to an audience rather than wait for a traditional publisher. I may include a few additional prose pieces if I produce hard copies for local distribution.
My recently released book, It’s Just a Phase, is still available from Walnut Street Publishing for $10 + shipping. https://walnutstreetpublishing.com/product/its-just-a-phase/.
Copies are handsomely produced in Chattanooga by Wonder Press and are so available from me for $10.00. https://www.wonderpressprinting.com/.
I attended a reading by poet Natalie Kimbell at Reve Coffee and Books on Saturday, November 23. Her place-based writing appears in the book On Phillips Creek. https://www.finishinglinepress.com/product/on-phillips-creek-by-natalie-kimbell/
While attending the reading, I saw my three most recent books on the shelf there. https://sites.google.com/view/revecoffeeandbooks/home. My books available there include: It's Just a Phase Healing and Conflict We are Water
I also want to mention a book of monologues by Chattanooga poet and playwright Peggy Douglas. She shows us the stories of marginalized people in our community. I did an early edit of her book which is available from Walnut Street Publishing. https://walnutstreetpublishing.com/product/we-speak/.
Here is the PDF of my broadside The Wendigo’s Way. The format is 8 1/2 X 14, also known as legal size.
